Creative Opportunities For Your Child

Here at Chain Bridge Forge, we are extremely passionate about supporting young individuals in their career paths, especially when it shows their creative side.

Back in August, we offered Free Blacksmith taster sessions to young people, and it was a huge success! All personal protection was supplied and everyone who joined and came along worked with our blacksmith Ryan to create either a coat hook, heart, or key ring to take home.

We wanted to offer free sessions to allow those who had an interest in pursuing a creative avenue/career to get a taster on what the forge is really about!

We had some fantastic feedback from the individuals who took part in the sessions –

“Great that it was free, my children enjoyed learning something new!”

“All questions were answered and explained well, my child made a hook independently and was allowed to take this home!”

Overall, it was a brilliant way to encourage young people to get involved!

Now we have recently teamed up with the National Saturday Club, to offer half-day sessions to young people aged 13 – 16 interested in pursuing a creative avenue. These will run from 28th September through to June 2025, sessions will be free and your child will learn the basics of Blacksmithing.

The Saturday Club itself gives young people in the UK fantastic opportunities to dive into exciting subjects with expert guidance, completely FREE and suitable for all children aged 13- 16 boys and girls.

By joining a Saturday Club, you can pick up new skills, meet like-minded people, and connect with potential paths for further education and career growth. Plus, there are no exams to worry about; it’s all about exploring what you love.

This is an incredible opportunity to work with the National Saturday Club as they specialise in offering transformational opportunities for young people across the UK to explore the subjects they love and even develop life-changing skills and unique opportunities in Craft & Making.

It is super important for us to get involved with such a fantastic local company and help and support those wanting to pursue a creative career choice, plus it is something to be proud of!

If this sounds like something your child would like to get involved in, each session will be led by our Blacksmith and will be delivered from Chain Bridge Forge, High Street, Spalding, PE11 1TX
