A Selection of Restoration Work Accomplished by the Forge

Our biggest restoration project to date is working with Ayscoughfee Museum in Spalding. Ayscoughfee is a Grade 1 listed building.  The building is set in 5 acres of gardens. The house and gardens are serviced by 3 gates all of which were in a bad state of repair.

The second gate faced on to Love Lane. This gate was misaligned and included broken hinges.  The Forge replaced the hinge and add an adjustable feature so that the gates could be aligned.

The third gate was the oldest one and was in the worst condition. Cracks had appeared in the structure. The Forge deconstructed the gate to its component parts and then created a new frame and rebuilt the gate.

Second is another example of our work. Front railings and brickwork repaired after a car had demolished it.
